Downtown Raleigh Mint and Peach Wedding | Jen and Andrew

I first met up with Jen and Andrew at Tyler's in Apex.  They were a referral from Cordie and Christian.  Jen and Cordie had been housemates for awhile and when Jen was looking for a wedding photographer, Cordie sent her my way! (Thanks Cordie!)

I knew they were a perfect fit.. they’re laid back, enjoy good beer and had thoughts of doing their save the dates in a place where it wouldn’t matter if paint got spilled! HA! You can check out their paint fight here.. Save the Dates

Jen and Andrew were married back in May of this year in one of my very favorite weddings from 2014!  They had their ceremony at West Presbyterian Church in Raleigh and immediately folioing a reception at the Mordecai Historic Park also in Downtown Raleigh.

The girls got ready that morning at the Oakwood Inn.  What an awesome BnB!  If you’ve not checked it out, you should! and it’s a gorgeous spot for getting ready for brides!

We all met up at the church and Andrew’s mom officiated their wedding ceremony!

After the ceremony we all hopped on a Raleigh Trolley and visited a few different spots.. Fayetteville Street and Moore Square to grab some quintessential Downtown Raleigh wedding images! Then headed over to the park to have a wonderful party!

Jen and Andrew! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day! It was one I will always adore!  The attention to detail was impeccable! Looking forward to our raincheck/engagement session with Luna coming up!!

Many amazing vendors came together to pull out all the stops on this one!

This Weekend : A New Start and a sneak at Laura and Brendan's Big Day!

So I'm once again going to try to get on to some sort of blogging schedule.  I've just started making walking a part of my day most days and I think I always thought, I needed to have the right shorts, or the right t shirt or the right headphones, playlist, temperature, etc.. JUST DO IT ALREADY! and that's exactly what I've been doing.. just doing it and it's paid off! So here's where I'm going to try the same approach with blogging!

I have a backload of super duper amazing weddings and I will absolutely get to each and every one but I am going to start now.. starting with Laura and Brendan's wedding from this past Saturday!

Mother Nature owed me BIG TIME! Absolutely NO RAIN and it was just perfection..Here's a few sneaks from their downtown Raleigh wedding at the always DELICIOUS Caffe Luna! I must say, what a beautiful venue for an intimate ceremony.  I've photographed rehearsal dinners in this spot but never a wedding and it was just gorgeous!  Looking forward to sharing more with you later this week (<---see what I did there? I just committed myself to having another post done this week!)  Enjoy!

Zainab+Pa: RDU Airport and Downtown Raleigh Engagement Session

So hard to put into words how much I adore this couple.  Zainab and I met when she came to me as a guest at Cordie+Christian's wedding last October and asked if I was available for her wedding in April!  I was and we set up a time to meet!  Cupcakes and Lattes with Zainab and her Mom made for the BEST meeting! I loved listening to the story of how she met Pa once at a Reggae club in 2007 and then again a couple of years later.  That night in 2007 they took a photo together unknowingly of what the future would hold! <---- I LOVE THAT!!

Pa moved to Minnesota literally right after he started a relationship with Zainab!  So much of their relationship was spent in airports, RDU to be exact, that it was only fitting to start their engagement session there!  Then we had some fun down in City Market!

I can not wait to share their wedding with you! It was definitely one of my biggest highlights of 2014!  So incredibly honored to have had the chance to work with these two and their amazing friends and family!

Enjoy some of my favorites below!

Cordie+Christian : Engaged! NCSU and Downtown Raleigh Engagement Session

I was showing these photos to a friend today and realized I'd only shared FOUR on facebook!! It quickly prompted me to do a blog post!  Love this couple and am patiently waiting their approaching wedding date this October!  We met up back in April to photograph their engagement/save the date photos!  Their love for NCSU took us to the campus which photographs beautifully.. Love the layout of this campus!  and they brought along they SUPER cute pup! and we had a great evening walking around campus and then headed to Boylan Bridge to catch the amazing sunset and skyline of downtown Raleigh! Oh and BEER! Yes, Christian is a brewer so it was only fitting we would end up here! <3 Enjoy the following favorites from their engagement session!
